After the first visit of the Polish delegation in Rostock in summer it was now the turn for 7 Rotaracters from Rostock to experience Polish hospitality from 5th to 7th December 2014. While on the way to Szczecin via train we all still had the pictures of the last Eurovision song contest performance of Poland in our heads, paired with German-Polish jokes about stealing. We really did not know what to expect, since it was the first experience visiting a country east of Germany for most of us. We were welcomed at the station with nearly national honors by the Rotaractors, our hosts for the weekend. We started off in a typical student bar “Pralnia”. There we met the rest of the club members and got to know each other better over really delicious pizza and drinks and dancing. The next day we had an official part in the Radisson Blu Hotel with club presentations and discussions about our first crossborder project and the next steps for an official twining, followed by a guided sightseeing tour around beautiful Szczecin, we ended the weekend in a night club dancing all the night. Now we are all looking forward to our first skype meeting with our friends from Poland.
