On the weekend 1st-3rd August 2014 the Rotaract Club Rostock welcomed 5 Rotaractors from the Rotaract Club Szczecin in Polen for a first get to know each other meeting in Rostock and Warnemünde. The intention is to establish a twin club friendship between our two clubs to organize a twin club project one day. Our club got the idea, when we sat together at a meeting, discussing where we could head for an international club tour. By that chance we all noticed that we knew Belgium, France, England and all the rest of the common countries in the west, but none of us had ever been to Poland. In fact the only thing we knew, was that they like “stealing our cars”! So to find out from first hand which car models they preferred, we decided not only to plan a club tour to Poland one day, but to look for a club who might be interested in twinning. Because our beautiful Hanseatic City of Rostock is already officially twinned with Szczecin, and the city itself is not far and easy to visit by train we decided to ask the local Rotaract Club if they had an interest in meeting.
